Great food and great experience! Loved meeting the owner Zach. Really nice and attentive.

Everything was great, the cozy warm patio for people who want out door dining, food was good and the hot water with lemon was great for cold night, but just one thing. We wish there was a waitressing training for what is the right distance talking to customers. Some were doing right not too close but some got too close to our face and to our food. Health concerns one shouldn’t talk too close or above to the food.

We had not been to La Fontaine for 6+ months, so were reminded how excellent this restaurant is. Food was delicious and portioned well since we were able to split the daily special appetizer with buratta, prosciutto, tomato and toast. Then each had a main. My wife enjoined the sole involtini with asparagus rolled inside the fish and a buttery caper sauce. I loved the spicy pasta with roasted eggplant. A glass of wine each topped off an enjoyable meal. Wait staff are incredible, friendly and knowledgeable.

I remember the first time I went to the Slanted door in the city 20 years ago when it was in the Mission. The food was as good the first time I tried it. The wine selection could be more interesting like it was back then, having said that, the Pinot Noir I ordered was good. Always love the papaya salad and the Shaking Beef. Also had the bok choy in oyster sauce which was good with the beef but nothing unique. Lovely service, our attendant was sweet and attentive. The food and ambience Never disappoints. Our thoughtful complimentary glasses of bubbly to celebrate my friend's birthday won me over to return soon. I felt treated very well.

This was our first visit. Overall, very impressed. Will go back. Food was amazing. Service was a little slow as it was a busy evening, but owner was right in there helping the servers. It was a rainy evening so everyone was inside and it was quite loud in the main dining area...but made it festive an fun.
