El Blackfriars fue elegido como el mejor restaurante en los Tourism Awards del Nordeste de Inglaterra Este en 2013. El restaurante se construyó en 1239, y desde entonces ha servido como el de los frailes, siendo uno de los comedores diseñados para tal fin más antiguos y con más historia del Reino Unido. El comedor del Blackfriars cuenta con 72 asientos, un salón de eventos con 50 asientos y un salón de taller de hasta 12 asientos.
