Welcome to The Warren Restaurant, an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex Cattle, Boer Goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar amongst others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. We are a Dog Friendly restaurant. Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British food, occasionally dipping into other cuisines to provide a vehicle for flavours – nettle gnocchi for example, or poached oyster with wild boar chorizo.WE wanted a unique fun and informal restaurant, to offer their Crowborough Estate’s produce from. There are plenty of activities on our doorstep with wonderful walks and the picturesque Forest Way trail close. Groombridge also benefits from having Harrisons Rocks for keen climbers and the perfect cycling routes across the Ashdown Forest. Lovely starters and pudding but main course disappointing. I had roast beef but the Yorkshire puddings were overcooked and beef difficult to cut. I also prefer to add my own gravy as it smothered the plate. We hoped to add Salomon's to our shortlist for wedding venues but the food unfortunately did not have that extra special quality. However the staff were very good and helpful in letting us look at the wedding areas.
