We love our coastal location and our bar pays tribute to this with a fittingly traditional nautical theme! Dogs are welcome and we've got a large car park for visitors and plenty of seating space. Our traditional pub classics are expertly crafted from our seasonal menus and the bar is crammed with local ales and tipples to tempt any taste buds. Using the most seasonal ingredients and decadent flavours, there's a dish for every desire.

Amazing experience at art sushi. It was my fiancés birthday and they gave her complimentary sake. The food was incredible. The best sushi we’ve ever had. So fresh and flavoursome and the staff were brilliant.

A beautiful restaurant - relaxing surroundings -wonderful food cooked to order using fresh ingredients hence a small menu. The down side for me is the gratuity charge added at the end. I. Simply don’t like it. I think we should be able to make our own decisions about the tip and it not be an assumption.

Last minute decision to go out for dinner and decided to give The Ship in Distress a try and didn't regret it. Superb service, friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and well presented. Overall very good and will be back. Many thanks.

Great meal in lovely location. Restaurant elegant with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu not large but had a good varied choice. Food well cooked and beautifully presented. Reasonably priced. Only criticism would be the lack of vegetables with the meal - they were more of a garnish. Would have liked a side dish of veg especially as the meat portions were quite large. Would definitely recommend.
