Our seasonal table menu ensures a country pub feel which has a good choice of simple, rustic dishes as well as your pub classic dishes.Just a short stroll from Thyme, The Swan sits at the heart of the village of Southrop adjacent to the green. The Swan is characterised by low-slung ceilings, roaring fires and a spacious garden room.     It's always a pleasure to eat at The Angel, where the food is excellent. Our party had fish and chips and the lamb special: both tasty. A table by the fire was a bonus on a chilly day.

    We chose the table in the bar area which was ideal for us being by the log burner. Cold day! As a result it was a bit noisy from time to time, nevertheless we preferred it to the restaurant option. We enjoyed a very successful reunion with our university’s friends from the 1960’s and the food was good and the bill reasonable. We’d come again.
