All the meat on our menus is “nose to tail” so the menu is ever changing, and we waste nothing. We even employ our own head ranger to keep the deer herds on the land we manage under control, and have our own deer larder in the Cotswolds where this amazing product is processed.Our fish comes from day boats in Cornwall.We work with the seasons, ensuring the very best truly local veg is with us the day after its picked. Our food is cooked over wood from local plantations, and charcoal coppiced less than 20 miles away.We know the story of everything on the menu.Our lovely staff are extremely well informed, so, do ask questions on anything you’re not sure of.We hope you love this restaurant as much as we do and keep coming back.

The Horse and Groom Inn aims to provide great food and drink in a quintessential, traditional 16th century country inn. Dining is relaxed and informal in a friendly atmosphere. We stock a wide choice of wines by the glass, cask conditioned ales, lagers and ciders. Our guests can enjoy dining in our cosy bar or restaurant areas. We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads. We are open for our full a la carte restaurant service from Monday to Saturday each week with tables from 18:00 until 20:30. We are closed for dinner on Sunday, but the bar is open. We offer lunches daily and our wonderful Sunday lunch has tables from 12:00 until 16:00. Excellent food, great beer, with a good choice of real ale, open fires and dog friendly. Beautiful old building, helpful efficient staff, friendly locals . Definitely recommend booking as it was full for most of the evening on a Thursday.

Lovely pre- theatre meal. Prompt service and food was excellent. Pork belly and chicken with sides of hispi cabbage and green beans followed by treacle tart and cheeseboard. All excellent. On the pricey side but worth it!

Wonderful Sunday lunch today. Wish I had booked last night too. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were all very amenable and efficient. All of them were excellent which is a good sign. Very pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent food, great taste with cool atmosphere in a small, efficient restaurant. Had a great birthday meal and everyone enjoyed their food, I'm a vegetarian and the vegi burger was great.
