Siendo el restaurante hermano a State Bird Provisions (el cual se encuentra justo a lado), The Progress es también la visión de los chefs y dueños Stuart Brioza y Nicole Krasinski, pero de un alcance más amplio: se presenta un estilo "escoge tu propia aventura" con un menú de estilo familiar que ejemplifica la cocina californiana contemporánea y rústica. La cena en el comedor cuenta con un menú de 62 USD por persona, que incluye aperitivos de la cocina y cuatro bandejas de gran tamaño elegidas por cada mesa y adecuadas al tamaño del grupo. Visitamos Foreign Cinema en nuestra última visita a San Francisco y nos encantó. El lugar tal cual es como de película. La atención es muy buena y su comida espectacular, pedimos el New York y una pasta. Además de que sus drinks son deliciosos. Estuvimos sentados en la zona de afuera y a pesar del clima frío tenía calefacción. La verdad cuando regrese a San Francisco definitivamente volveré a visitar Foreign Cinema.
