We are a family owned business located in the centre of York by the River Ouse. Betty’s was as always a beautiful place for a treat of afternoon tea, the atmosphere is amazing, food was delicious, great value for money. We visited at 2pm we were not rushed to leave the table so had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, and to top it all it left us feeling full for the rest of the day. Overall a thoroughly wonderful experience

I cannot recommend The Rise enough. This was my chosen venue for my birthday treat from my son. To coin a phrase: “ Our meal tonight was spectacular!” I’m my words: “perfection!” The beef wellington was mouthwatering and the suggested paired wine made it all the more perfect! The service was first class and our waiter was both attentive and professional, Thank you TK all at The Rise. 🍷
