A beautiful experience. Outstanding service and attention. Excellent food and choice at a sensible price.

We had 11 tapas between four of us. Some qualified for the lunch special deal so we had bread included. Bread was delicious and essential to make the most of the various sauces. We’ve been many times before and once again we were not disappointed. We each have our favourites like the lentils/chorizo and the Gambas al ajillo. Some new ones made it to top of the list : blue cheese croquetas, cauliflower and the baked goat’s cheese(this was a special for the day). We will return with no hesitation.

We had a lovely unhurried lunch and found the food delicious, carefully presented and the portions just right. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and the far-reaching view beyond the lake was lovely, even in January. My friend was pleasantly surprised to find that her cottage pie had been made with chopped rather than minced beef and told me it was delicious. I really enjoyed the vegan curry, particularly the textures and it was nice to see that the ingredients were locally sourced, including some from their own kitchen gardens. We hope to be back again soon.

Lovely cosy warm and welcoming pub. Friendly staff and great ambience. One small criticism is that the menu is quite limited and all mains are without potatoes/fries/veg so have to be ordered separately. Which could make the overall price at little costly. Having said that our food was tasty and hot. Will certainly go back especially in warmer weather as garden and outside space looks good.

Arranged a post Xmas dinner for my wife , daughter and son in law, food was as expected as we have dined here before but first time for our daughter, they loved it as well, slight hiccup with one of the main meals as 3 came but not the fourth, they gave my wife a free Prosecco and hers did turn up within a few minutes, they were very apologetic. Can highly recommend the blade of beef
