You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. Owned and managed by husband-and-wife team, Daniel Crump MCA and Margriet Vandezande-Crump, the restaurant was crowned the 2024 AA Restaurant of the Year (England). Based in a 17th century coaching inn in the heart of Beaconsfield Old Town, it has also been voted an OpenTable Diners’ Choice, one of the most romantic restaurants in the UK, and named among the top 100 restaurants in the country by SquareMeal. The Grade II-listed venue has a variety of spaces where guests can enjoy a meal or drink.The various menus showcase a commitment to using the best seasonal British produce available, including that grown in the kitchen garden. Vegans, vegetarians and guests with dietary requirements receive an equally special dining experience. The Greyhound also has a diverse wine list, which won an AA Notable Wine List Award.     Staff is just perfect, they’re attentive and friendly. Food was amazing and it’s great to see more vegan options, 2 other companions said that’s the best beef wellington they had. Well done everyone!

    Lovely experience. Tiny boutique dining area, lovely cocktails and delightful front of house staff. Difficult surroundings to work in, but all done with a smile and trying to make sure everyone was having the best experience they could on a busy Valentine's night.

    The food was AMAZING! Such a classy experience for being a buffet! The level of the service is as well really great, from entering to leaving the place. Honestly it was a it of a random choice to meet a friend while changing flights with a night layover, but it's truly a place to go back to. The cocktails were fantastic too and the food choices was impressive as well for my gluten intolerant self. 100% recommend.

    Brilliant as always. I can’t think of another Chinese restaurant in the UK that’s as special as this. You must try it if you’ve never been. Thanks for another great evening !

    Food was so good and staff were very friendly. It was a bit empty but we went on Christmas Eve lunch so makes sense.
