It is a place where newcomers to the valley soon become old friends.The Brass Door, formerly known as the 8/5 Club, was established by Howard Schlesinger in 1946. It was originally a six-stool bar and 20-person dining facility. Schlesinger's son, Mickey, and his partner Dick Basso bought the club in 1955. Soon after, they renamed the club The Brass Door. Over the years, the partners expanded the facility to include a 20-stool bar, 50-seater cocktail lounge and a dining area for 160 guests. Following a brief closure in 1994 due to a fire, the restaurant was rebuilt from its original location.

Nice, homey type place. Love sitting in the window seats! Been for lunch a few times & awesome how we can get the French Onion Soup as our side to our delicious sandwiches. Plenty of items to choose from & great ambiance.

Fabulous service! Delicious offerings. The value is there, especially at a busy time of year when things can go sideways on every level. Our experience was once again superb. Very holiday, very charming.

It was a great experience. The salmon chowder soup is outstanding. We all had fish and chips which is our Christmas Eve tradition. The fish was fresh and of high quality.

We had a holiday party there for the 3rd year in row and all of the events have had great service and food in relaxed atmosphere.

De La Torre's never fails to offer and serve a Wonderful Lunch or Dinner at an Excellent Value! Everything on the Menu is worth trying but the Daily Specials just put De La Torre's a cut above. Pleasanton is home to De La Torre's but it truly is the Local Gem of the Tri-Valley!
