The Two Sawyers is a 16th Century Inn recently refurbished and under family ownership. We pride ourselves on serving excellent beer and food. The Ferry Inn is a serendipitous country public house with welcoming staff, character rooms, candlelight, open fires, real ales, popular foods and fantastic sunsets. A 17th Century former smugglers haunt-- this is a pretty little pub in a lovely marshland setting with tables and benches on the front terrace and in the back alongside the riverbank. Inside it's very easygoing and chatty. The main bar has hop-draped painted beams, a green dado, and stools against the bar where they serve a beer called Oxney Ale specially brewed for the pub by Westerham Brewery. To the right is a cosy eating area with wheelback chairs-- ideal for a banquette with friends around a few long tables.

The food was outstanding and very well presented. The dining area is small but laid out nicely but the noise level grew as it got busier so if you require a quieter time then I would recommend a 6pm booking. Lovely to see how well they cater for allergies with an easy to read menu and alternatives. Overall a lovey place to eat and good value for money

A thoroughly exceptional meal from beginning to end. The attention to detail and craft across all our plates was truly wonderful. The wine recommendations were spot on from a wine list that starts with a whole page of local wines. The staff were superb, clearly as passionate about the food and overall experience as we were.

We had a bad experience at The George after the pandemic. So thought we would try again as we live locally. This time was fantastic with great food and service and it is so beautifully decorated. Our lovely Spanish waiter made us feel very spoilt, especially as this was our Ruby Anniversary. We will be back.
