Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour. It was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star which it maintains today. We aim to source all our ingredients locally and sustainably, many from our dedicated farm in Brixham. Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy. Food is cooked by a talented team of chefs and served by friendly, professional team of staff.Due to the style of cooking we cannot produce dairy free menus & therefore cannot provide vegan options.A deposit is required to make reservations on special days of the year, on our special events, or for tables of 6 or more. This is paid over the phone by calling 01803 200044. Children's menu is only available at lunch for ages 10 and under.Tasting menu only available in the evening unless requested via phone in advance.

The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside.     The service was amazing. I had the scallops to start fresh and well cooked. The beetroot starter was well presented and flavours well twinned. The venison and steak prepared to request and the extra garlic mayo was the best ever tasted. Cocktails and pebbledbed sparkling rose spectacular. Artic Roll desert so yummy pared with the Artic cocktail a treat not to miss. Overall the best meal since they have opened. Better than Lympstone Manor.

    Lovely ambience, old with the new. Nice food and good service except at the end when we had to go to the bar for the bill and then again to pay for it. 10% charge is automatically charged so expected the full service for that.

    An outstanding lunch for our Anniversary. From the moment we arrived the visit became special, the staff attention to detail was a delight and the lunch tasting menu was perfect with the accompanying wine flight. The staff were amazing - never there until they were needed but attentive and efficient around every course,then they disappeared again! Wonderful. A perfect enue that has been a delight on every visit!
