The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. This includes a specialty cocktail menu with different seasonal ingredients along with a fresh mocktail menu. The Tavern offers brunch seven days a week with bottomless brunch cocktails and Sunday jazz brunch from 11am-2pm. On Friday & Saturday local musicians perform from 8-11pm. This was my first time at this restaurant. The decor is very inviting, tasteful, and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Food was fantastic!! The lobster ravioli appetizer was superb 👌-- very flavorful and just enough to activate the palate for the main course. The short rib pappadelle was tasty, but for me it lacked "kick" Great experience overall.

Food, ambience and service was amazing. The hush puppies were a surprise favorite. Oysters were delicious. All of the staff were amazing and friendly. Our server Nathan was so attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Another place that will be on our permanent rotation of restaurants. We saw so many other dishes that we can’t wait to try.

Excellent service - Friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food. Not super crowded when we were there which is why I selected quiet, I have been there when live music was playing and it was too loud for me, but this trip was excellent.
