Welcome to The Red Lion Bishopgate!On the banks of the River Wensum and a stone's throw from Norwich Cathedral. We serve fresh, locally sourced food all day, everyday. Our head chef Tom has created a menu suitable for everyone, including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. We serve a delicious Sunday roast every weekend.Brunch is also available every weekend 10:00am-12 noon (11:30am on Sundays). Please see below our food serving times:Monday - Thursday: 12:00-20:00Friday & Saturday: 12:00-21:00Sunday: 12:00-19:00 with a choice of roasts and bar classics.We always leave some tables free, so if you can't make a booking just pop in to see if you can grab a table! Four of us had an excellent meal at The Lodge last night. despite being very busy the table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. As with all the Colchester Inns venues there is an extensive and varied menu, which I would thing suites most peoples tastes. People who are new to the group should be aware that the main course portions are generous. When we were ready our order was taken and when the food arrived it was exactly as we have come to expect, high quality, beautifully cooked and presented by pleasant and attentive staff. We look forward to our next visit which we know will not disappoint.

They must be doing something right, 4 this is our 4th visit in the past 4 weeks! Lovely staff and food, great value as well and lovely atmosphere.

Came to the Red lion from Cambridge in the summer and sat near the river Such a lovely setting Came back to Norwich and decided to book Sunday lunch Had the pork belly and Roast beef Have to say it’s the best roast we have had 10/10 for everything Gary and Linda Cambridge
