True Chesapeake is a Baltimore restaurant born of an oyster farm. Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our farm in St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and French Onion Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay. Don't forget to order the Blue Crab and Bone Marrow dip or handmade pasta. We have an expertly curated wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - both classic and creative. Ample bar, high-top, and terrace seating available for walk-ins on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. The Tavern offers brunch seven days a week with bottomless brunch cocktails and Sunday jazz brunch from 11am-2pm. On Friday & Saturday local musicians perform from 8-11pm.     We celebrated our anniversary here during a Ravens-Steelers game, which made the atmosphere lively and vibrant despite the extra noise. Our reservation was found immediately, and we were warmly wished a Happy Anniversary before being seated in a booth as requested. Our server was exceptional—friendly and attentive without being intrusive. He expertly guided us through the menu, and his recommendations were spot on. The appetizer was exactly as described and delicious. Both entrees were cooked to perfection, and the Crème Brûlée dessert was not only perfect but also generously portioned. The cocktails were excellent with solid pours. Overall, I'm very impressed with what the Clyde's group has achieved here and look forward to seeing this concept expand in the future. Highly recommended!

    Can not recommend it enough - the craft cocktails, blue crab & bone marrow dip followed by oysters and then the seared scallops was AMAZING. Will definitely be returning.

    Our waitress was awesome great personality She knew the menu quite well being this was our first time there we didn’t have a clue She helped us navigate. The menu makes selections that turned out to be amazing. Will be back

    We had a great time. Having the softball girls there with Santa was so nice. They were great with the little ones. Santa was terrific. Our service was extraordinary. Our Waitress, Elly was amazing!
