At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. Amazing food with perfect execution and creative vibrancy. Great service paired with warm ambience enhanced our experience even more. Our favorite was the grilled pork with braised savoy cabbage, chanterelles, and pear purée. Perfectly juicy and seasoned, paired with the right amount of sweetness, acidity, and umami. Churros were also the best and most unique ones. They were slightly custardy in the middle and served with a rich and sweet/savory miso caramel sauce.

We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday with a brunch. Twelve happy and well-fed people! We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed incredible food, a jazz ensemble, and a wonderful ambiance. We loved the ricotta pancakes, shrimp toast, and huevos rancheros. Everything was perfect!!

I drive over from Tiburon just to visit Brandon, Steven, and the team here. The pizza is better than anything we have in Marin and it’s worth the trip, the hospitality makes it even better. The cozy corner booth with a view of the bar and fire and the kitchen? What more could you want? This place is perfect. We love it. There’s nowhere else we’d rather have a pizza party.
