Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. Great lunch at Margaret today. The food was beautiful - we tried a number of items on the menu and everything was lovely. The flavours were really on point and not overpowering. The seafood was amazing and cooked to perfection. Would highly recommend as a date location. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Beautiful food, as always. Service is efficient, quiet and unobtrusive. Our waitress provided some helpful suggestions as my guest has Coeliac Disease

The menu has changed since our last visit, two of us decided to order the fish and chips as sounded yummy with the mushy peas. Both received generous serves however 2 of the 3 fish fillets on each plate were like rubber, and the mushy peas were served cold. Avoid this one. Otherwise the venue is good for a group and the drinks service was great.
