In fairness to all guests, Open Table reservations are accepted *ONLY* for parties of 6 to 10 people. Smaller parties are walk-in only; larger parties should call ahead for special arrangements.We serve an international selection of wine by the glass and bottle.     Visited on Valentine’s Day and was not disappointed. Cocktails at the bar, Gin Blossom and an Old Fashioned. The barman made a wonderful recommendation for a rye whisky. Dinner after was Halibut and Lamb Ragu. My wife said the halibut was cooked perfectly. My lamb ragu was very tasty. Staff were very attentive throughout. We have supported Scratch a lot since lockdown, possibly the nicest venue on Castro if you like a stylish venue with good food and quality drinks. Ambiance can suffer though if it is quiet.

    These guys at La Fontaine are great. They always deliver on service and quality, especially service. If I ever eat at other “fancy type” places, a thought always crosses my mind that I could be getting more and better flavor for less money and treated better at La Fontaine. Cocktails are great too.
