We pay tribute to the rugged individualism of Pensacola’s unique historic cultural significance, specifically its Spanish influence. Real and super-rustic, the kitchen presents Old World cookery at its roots, with all the layers peeled back. Brother Fox utilizes a live-fire approach to cooking almost everything that we serve, from coal-roasted oysters to Carne Asada for two, served with hot tortillas. Our beautiful outdoor seating sets the stage for a casual meet up with friends for a glass of wine from regions near and far, carafes of Bathtub Gin or Sangrias from the bar. Inside, the cuisine and casually elegant design are the embodiment of a “neighborhood” spot that caters to visitors and residents alike, for special occasions, celebrations, and some of the finest wood-fired cuisine in Pensacola.     We love this place, and our New Year brunch did not disappoint. Brother Fox always has a trick up his sleeve. Never fails to surprise and delight. Extra thanks to our server Lauren for making a memorable day.

    I made a reservation for 2 at 5pm a while ago. We arrived at 4:45 pm. When I checked in at the hostess stand I was told my name was on a waiting list as they don't take reservations but here I am making comments to my Open Table reservation that they don't take. A bit strange to say the least. First time I have heard from an Open Table vendor that they don't take reservations when I clearly made one. The meal was great and appreciated the Fish House being open on Christmas.

    This is my second visit. I enjoy the location and food. Our server was great - he helped us with substitutions. In addition he gave us the history of the building and area. I was a bit disappointed that the fried green tomatoes had too much breading - I'm used to panko and delicate. The onion rings were super. We were sorry to be too full for dessert.
