The Punchbowl is a 17th century gastro pub, located in the heart of rural Essex and the Crouch Valley and the South Essex Salt marshes. We offer nose-to-tail style menu, with unpretentious dishes that focus on flavour. Everything is made in house - from bread to mayonnaise, and we use local, seasonal and organic ingredients. Our menu changes daily, as the season's best comes in, and always features day boat fish, meat, offal, rare breed steaks and excellent vegetarian cookery.Our beautiful garden bar has a lawn and york-stone patio looking out across the farmland of Paglesham and the River Crouch. Throughout the summer we offer BBQ dining from our hand-cranked Asado and Rotisserie Grills.

Le Bouchon Brasserie & Hotel es un edificio de estilo georgiano de 300 años de antigüedad catalogado como grado II (En el Reino Unido los edificios de interés histórico o arquitectónico se enlistan de acuerdo al tipo de edificio. Los grado II son edificios particularmente importantes que despiertan un interés especial). El lugar ha sido objeto de un programa extensivo de decoración para restaurar el edificio a su antigua gloria. El periodo de renovación se utilizó para combinar algunas características de la época original de la construcción con muebles y decoración de estilo clásico que complementa la esencia original de la edificación. Le Bouchon Brasserie ofrece una mezcla de gastronomía francesa y británica en un entorno íntimo y relajado. Los comensales pueden disfrutar de platillos elegidos a la carta o escoger entre la amplia selección de menús establecidos en diferentes momentos de la semana. An amazing experience! The food was gorgeous and the decor was insane! What a fabulous way to begin the festive celebrations. The Sugar Plum Fairy would have approved! Best food was the Stilton and Cranberry muffin followed by the Raspberry Ripple mousse. No way we were going to have room for it all but the carry home box was exquisite in itself. Thank you for a truly unforgettable afternoon. We will be back for the Regency in January!
