Every night Guido and Gino Tiozzo welcome you to Donatello, a fine dining restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine since 1984.

Their constant presence and attention to details guarantee that, whether you are dining alone or hosting a large party, you'll be pleased and satisfied by your experience.

Every lady will leave Donatello with a rose on her hand as thanks for being there.

You'll see for yourself that hospitality has ancient roots at Donatello.

The menu is based on century-old Italian recipes and displays Italian specialties; the staff is friendly and professional and the desserts are delicious!

If the night is still young, come and relax at the piano lounge where blues, jazz and every love songs are played at the baby grand. Listen to the music while sipping a drink or dancing with your loved one.

Mrs. Kitty played on the same ticket with James Brown and Fats Domino and the pre-show for Dizzy Gillespie. Majid was on the same stage with Mahalia Jackson, Count Basie, Aretha Franklin. They play Tuesday – Friday.

    Comida buena pero no diría excepcional, el servicio bien pero tampoco extraordinario, te atienden como si tuvieran prisa de que termines de comer. Estuvo bien probarlo.

    En términos generales, un restaurante más al que nunca más volvería. El ambiente muy clásico, pero no se como llamarlo. La comida no es nada del otro mundo,un poco mediocre para mi gusto y los precios totalmente fuera de lo coherente. Cómo es posible que literalmente medio aguacate con 1 camarón partido a la mitad y salsa rosada valga $28?, no tenia nada especial para valer esto, la verdad lo hago mejor en mi casa y esto es solo un ejemplo. Los platos que siguieron normales un poco sosos, pero bahh… nada especial repito. No se porque un tipo de resultante así en un lugar como Tampa bay tendría tantos buenos comentarios, yo los vi y por eso decidimos ir con mi pareja, pero la verdad quien conoce de buena comida no volvería, por eso es mi deber dejar mi opinión. Ahh eso si, muy linda la rosa y el servicio muy bueno.

    Having been going to Donatello for years. Food experience is always exceptional. Prices have become some of the highest for food in the Tampa Bay Area. Our reservation was made online and had been modified for 6 diners, confirmed through Open Table. The Maitre D seemed surprised by us being 6 diners at our arrival. We were taken to a table set for 5 people. A 6th place was added with a chair and utensils only. Napkin and bread plate had to be asked for twice and bread plate never came. The table was too small to accommodate 6 people, bread, food, drinks and wine. Dinner arrived when we were still eating appetizers, forcing us to rush to finish as there was no room for the food. We asked for a second bread basket which arrived near the end of eating our entrees. It was our daughter's birthday and we ordered dessert and cappuccinos. While the coffee came quickly, and was delicious, dessert arrived 30 minutes after we'd ordered it, after the coffees were finished and only after I reminded a different waiter that we had ordered dessert. We did enjoy the birthday salutation sung in Italian by all the waiters, something the restaurant is known for. The busy holiday season must always bring the restaurant's "A" game, especially at the price point charged, never to be excused for being too busy a time of year or difficult to staff. I was very disappointed for the "C" service experience we received.

    Very classy Italian restaurant with old school feel of service and elegance. Fits right in with the best restaurants in both NYC and LA for ambiance, service and food...a gift to Tampa!

    Always a pleasure dining at Donatellos. Anyone who visits Tampa must checkout this place as it is a Tampa staple.

    Started off great. Birthday celebration and everyone acknowledged that. We were seated against the wall. Comfortable table restaurant was busy on a Friday night. Service was 4 star. Nice, very polite. Wine selection is outstanding!!! Now on to the food. We generally have an opinion about the quality of food based on two appetizers. Calimari and bruschetta. Both were delicious. Definitely order them again. The entree is where things went downhill. I ordered a seafood medley. Grouper/shrimp/scallops and veggies. Based on how many people raved about the pasta, I was surprised that my dish didn’t come with or offer any pasta. Just seafood and veggies. Grouper was well seasoned and delicious. Scallops were seared and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The shrimp is where the problem is. Jumbo shrimp were hard. Couldn’t cut them with a fork. When the Waiter asked if everything was okay…..unfortunately I said no. He insisted that I give him the opportunity to make this right. I agreed to let him. I should have just shut my mouth. Second plate arrives, scallops were raw, shrimp were cooked right but the grouper was raw…..pink on the inside. Looked like chicken. We sent it back. The waiter adjusted the bill and I tipped him as though we had paid for the entree. Probably won’t be back. But we can always try again another time
