Della Santina's Trattoria in Sonoma, San Francisco is a traditional Italian restaruant serving recipes mostly from Lucca, Italy. It was founded by Quirico (Dan) and Shirley Della Sanitina. With the passing of Shirley Della Santina - Quirico, his son Robert and wife Nicole continue to carry on the family business and Tuscan traditions. Quirico is the chef behind the menu and has provided what's been described as Italian comfort food in a gorgeously authentic Italian setting. When you walk in the front entrance you'll be greeted by truly Italian decorations and design, as well as fresh flowers on every table.

Della Santina's offers a variety of home made pastas, antipasti, soups and salads, juicy rotisserie cooked meats and fresh seafood. Local wines from Sonoma, as well as Italian wines and beers are all featured on the wine list. Della Santina's received the 2023 Sonoma Index-Tribune People's Choice Awards for Italian Cuisine and Romantic Meal.

My daughter and I sat in the warm, outdoor covered patio with string lights. The service was great and the food very delicious. We shared the pappardelle duck ragu and the spinach and meat ravioli. The mushroom ravioli sauce was very good but we weren’t expecting the pappardelle to be without sauce. Both were very tasty but for me, could have used a tad more salt. Better to have less than more, though, and I did not add any. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake special and lemon tart, both of which were very good. My only minor issue was that my chair kept getting bumped multiple times by the staff serving the larger party next to us in the corner. There really wasn’t ample room for them to move around. Great food and service, though. I would definitely go back.

Have been here many times but not for several years. We had beautiful weather on the patio while enjoying our amazing Italian dishes. Luckily, the owner was there and was sure we had everything we needed. Just a wonderful experience!

We had a group of six for a Christmas holiday celebration. Our waiter was outstanding. He was so informative and helpful especially with one of our party who was gluten free. We sat on the outdoor covered patio and it was decorated beautifully. They were booked solid so the noise level was quite energetic. I had the special ravioli and it was good but could have had a it more sauce and seasoning. The overall experience was very good and everyone had a great time.

I love the quirky ambience, love the old school look and feel the food for me. Was not what I expected seemed like they didn’t taste the food before they presented it very bland. The pasta was overdone. The duck risotto was very soupy… Maybe we just missed it that night, but to me, I would not go back.

Lovely rustic patio setting. They were sweet with my dog. But… way too expensive- $12 beer and $36 pasta for lunch. $60 for just me for above incl tip and friends glass of Chardonnay $19

The lasagna was some of best we have experienced and service was superb! Funny set up as you sort of walked thru the kitchen to a covered patio that was very festive! There was an actual dining room but no one was in there.
