Carlton Wine Room is a neighbourhood restaurant offering a well-executed, fresh, seasonal food menu, and an ever changing, diverse wine list featuring the best of Italy, Australia and the rest of the World. Cool vibes inside. The booth seats are a bit too high for the tables so it’s a little awkward to sit at. Steak was perfectly cooked, although the mushroom sauce was not really a sauce but just some mushrooms on top. The side of chips were yum but could do with more salt (none provided on the table). The chimichurri side sauce also lacked flavour. Kingfish was fresh and perfect for a hot day. Cavolo nero spaghetti was the highlight!

Great little wine bar away from the serious busyness of west end of Swan St. Extensive wine list, great outdoor area out the back and small but great selection of food. Service was brilliant. Will be back!

We have been to Spensley's close to 10 times now over the past year! It is our favourite place to come for a relaxing and tasty meal. We bring all our visitors here (we are originally from the UK) to showcase one of the best restaurants we have found during our time in Melbourne. The food is spectacular for the value (feed me menu is always worth it!). We will be becoming back!
