Pietramala is a little restaurant located in Northern Liberties celebrating plants, wood-fire cooking and seasonality. We offer a small, regularly changing menu based on the highest quality, organic ingredients grown or made with care in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. Our Italian leaning, but globally inspired food is always presented simply with familiar flavors achieved in creative new ways. Often touched by fire, smoke or fermentation to unlock unique flavors, our dishes sometimes require days or even months of preparation. We pride ourselves on our open kitchen, where our wood-fired hearth takes center stage, and our commitment to friendly service and warm hospitality in an intimate, but lively atmosphere. All are welcome and our entirely plant-based menu can accommodate any allergy or dietary restriction with advance notice. We are currently BYOB and offer a small, seasonal alcohol free beverage menu. Hello, we are Sansom Kabob House. A local Afghan restaurant bringing authentic Afghan cuisine from the core of Afghanistan. We originally opened on October 2nd, 2002. We were on 1526 Sansom St. for 14 years and then moved to 1300 South St. We create gourmet Afghan food that you can find in Afghanistan or here at our Philadelphia location. We have mouthwatering flavors starting from our bread to our kabobs. Our bread's recipe and technique have been passed down from the founder's great-great-grandfather, who owned an array of bakeries and managed many restaurants in Kabul. Passed through generations to our chef, who brought delicious meals to 15th and Sansom of Philadelphia. Then from 15th and Sansom to 1300 South St. We have delectable food that you fall in love with and will bring comfort to you, from our meat lovers to our vegans. We do reservations, groups, take-out, delivery, catering, waiter service, and maintain a great family environment.

    My partner and I first discovered Pietramala in spring 2024, and have found ourselves going back almost every time we are back in Philly. I want to stress that we are not vegans (though we are pescatarian); however, every dish at Pietramala is innovative and transcendent, showing you what is truly possible with the ingredients that you might not have ever considered or thought about. Everyone who works there - from the chefs to front of house - are all fantastic, and the ambience is always just right. Cannot recommend Pietramala enough

    Excellent, interesting menu. Friendly, helpful service. Our only disappointment was our selected dessert being out of stock. Everything we tried was great.
