Nestled into a cobblestone square just off Austin Street, Jade Eatery & Lounges’ address hints at why Jade is said to be “Forest Hills hidden gem”. The space integrates a zen-like atmosphere with inspirational quotes that adorn the walls and a serene koi pond presenting a large Buddha statue smiling benevolently on guests guiding them to a choice entree. Our philosophy was to combine music, aroma and aesthetics to capture a unique gastronomic experience hence our motto “Indulge Your Senses”.As a neighborhood Asian restaurant catering to local and visiting patrons we strive to maintain quality and consistency. Our concept provides favorite Pan-Asian and southeast Asian dishes as well as creative culinary innovations that have become neighborhood favorites. With signature dishes like Sushi Pizza and Calcutta Chicken, our group focuses on optimizing select ingredients and transforms them into exotic flavor profiles. That is our committed culinary mission.

Zaab Zaab is proud natives of Queens, opened their restaurant in the heart of Elmhurst’s Little Thailand in April of 2022 just before Songrkan, or Thai New Year. The destination for authentic Isaan cuisine from Northeastern Thailand has received numerous accolades, including a 3-star review from Pete Wells of The New York Times, and being listed two years in a row on the NYT’s 100 Best Restaurants in NYC as well as being nominated as a semifinalist in the outstanding Restaurateur category for the 2024 James Beard Foundation Awards. Zaab Zaab is also recognized as a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant.

“My original thinking when we opened the restaurant was to serve the local Thai community in Elmhurst,” says Chunton. “Clearly I underestimated New York City’s appetite for Northeastern Thai food. We now have five locations across Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and are so proud to represent Thai food and culture in New York City.”

“KRAAM”(คราม) is a Thai word for indigo or organic dye. It’s also a word synonymous for craft and wisdom passed down through generations. The menu incorporates dishes from various regions of Thailand with seasonal and higher quality ingredients. " A sleek white, gold and blue room (kraam means indigo) is the setting for a vibrant, distinctive Thai menu. Instead of the fierce attention to regional cuisines as at beloved Thai spots in Queens, the chef and owner, Pongsathorn Thinnuch, who worked at JoJo and Hutong, and his team of Thai chefs, favor seasonality and contemporary flair. Khao soi curry is made with chicken confit, there are sauteed razor clams with Thai-adjacent chimichurri, and strips of rib-eye heavily strewn with black peppercorns make a stir-fry. The inevitable green papaya salad includes sweet corn and long beans, and you can bet that Giovanni Bellini never tasted his namesake drink with lychee and guava." - The New York Times.
