We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay. As soon as Amy Chanta flung open the doors in 1989 Chat Thai became an instant smash hit with Sydney diners already familiar with Thailand and no appetite for compromising on ingredients, flavours, textures and aromas. Searching all across Sydney for the correct vegetables, herbs and sauces Amy was able to set herself apart through a stubborn dedication to reminding diners of their unforgettable food experiences on the streets of Bangkok.Three decades later we are proud to continue Amy’s vision by adding organic vegetables from Boon Luck Farm to serve up authentic Thai dishes we ourselves want to eat. Unique flavours the Thai diaspora crave from the motherland but struggle to find outside of their own home cooking.

NAT, our executive chef who has a passion for cooking with his Le Cordon Bleu studied from patisserie to cuisine and many years of experience in the Australian fine-dining restaurant such as Sailor Thai. More importantly, he always spent time in the top hat restaurant not only in Australian but also around the world. He was into in various cuisines and started learning by himself.     Dining at Restaurant Moon was truly a memorable experience! The presentation and reveal of each dish felt like a show in itself—creative, unexpected, and totally captivating. The food tasted just as amazing as it looked, with flavors that hit all the right notes. A special shoutout to our servers, Bee, Jackie, and Paepu, who elevated the evening with their vibrant energy and genuine excitement about every dish they brought out. Their enthusiasm was infectious and added a personal touch to an already fantastic meal. Would I recommend it? Absolutely! I can’t wait to tell my friends and family about this culinary journey—it’s one you need to experience for yourself!
