Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We also received the Thai select award from the UK Thai Embassy which certifies authenticity and the freshness of our ingredients.We’re a young team of enthusiastic individuals, who over the last few years have bought our passion and skills to the table. Parties of six and larger, kindly contact the restaurant directly for reservations. These larger groups will be offered the shared feasting menu only and a deposit of £10 per head needs to be taken to confirm the booking, which will be deducted from your bill.

We think this award sums up Nipa Thai rather nicely. What's cooking? The food was beyond exceptional. We were a party of 8 and we all left beautifully satisfied. One member of the party had ample choices on a separate gluten free menu. Another was vegetarian and had a huge range of options. The flavours were incredible. The menu is expansive so have a look beforehand! Next time I come back, I will need to try some other things (but still get at least one portion of dim sum!). The only negative regarding ambiance was that is was really really hot inside - the heating might have been up too high. 100% will return.

We loved everything we tried at ULI. A tad pricey but service was excellent and food was delicious! We went on Boxing Day so it was quiet and lovely evening.

The cocktails were fantastic and reasonably priced for London. We tried all 5 of the happy hour specials. We ate the Thai festive tasting menu and each course was sublime. Full of freshness and flavour. The best Thai food we've eaten and the best tasting menu too! I especially loved the crab curry.
