The George hotel is a beautiful 400 year old hotel, currently only used as a restaurant. Taken over in 2020, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, adourning wonderful photos of chepstow through the years. The menu boasts an array of fabulous dishes, from the traditional 'pub grub' with our 2 for £16 menu, to our in house dry aged Steaks, cooked to perfection by our chefs or brought out to you on our signature sizzling hot stones. On a Saturday evening, the restaurant comes alive with wonderful live music, starting off with a relaxed vibe whilst you finish off your meal, and a livelier second half to finish off your evening.     Excellent food as always, good choice of beers. Staff are very approachable, polite and helpful. The Rock & Fountain has a well deserved reputation, it is definitely well worth a visit.

    A lovely Sunday Roast. Very impressed thank you The three of us said it’s the best Sunday Roast we have had for a long time. Flavoursome, plentiful and good quality. Greeted with a smile, we felt very at home even though it was our first ever visit. I would highly recommend. A special mention to our waitress who was absolutely delightful. Thank you again we’ll be back x

    Yet another brilliant visit. Booked quite late, but they had availability. The new autumn ale was absolutely fantastic. We were served again by Christina, a great member of staff, cheeky but pleasant. The food offerings well what can I say, it was better than a 3 rosette hotel we stayed in Leamington Spa. We will be back.
