Another thing that was similar to a past Cooper's Hawk experience was that we had to wait 15 minutes with a reservation. The restaurant was fairly empty at 4:00 pm and the hostess told us they're just clearing our table when we checked in right at our reservation time, but we still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Not really a big deal, but it's not a pleasant experience when you had a time reserved and you're waiting fairly long to finally be seated. We had the Pasta Fagioli, which was fantastic, and the short rib papardelle and rigatoni alla vodka, both of which were soooo good and light. It didn't feel heavy like normal when eating pasta. The chocolate hazelnut cake and gelato trio was also delicious! Our server, Robert R., was friendly and helpful! He didn't rush us at all and was honest and knowledgeable. The restaurant is in the Oak Brook Mall area, so parking can be a challenge.Más informaciónPiccolo Buco - Oak Brook, ILPrecio: moderado• Italiana• Oakbrook Terrace•4,5

For antipasti, we had the artichoke, lamb ribs and calamari. All were excellent. Lamb ribs were a little fatty for my taste, but lamb is fattier, and everyone else at the table loved them. Terrific flavor with the glaze, so tender. Artichoke was also a fave. Next we had the mortadella pizza (really more like a panini) - so, so good - one of the best things we had. For pasta we had the rigatoni carbonara, rich and delicious, the oxtail tagliatelle, my personal fave, and the mezza rigatoni alla amatriciana, spicy and very good. For the forgo, we had the halibut with clams and mussels - was good, but not special, and a tad overcooked. We also had the veal saltimbocca, which was very good and enjoyed. We had the potatoes and fungji e formaggi as contort (sides). Potatoes were great; the funghi were special, really loved them. Finally for dessert we ordered pistachio gelato - did not enjoy; it was not creamy, a bit more grainy (coursely grpund pistachio?). They also brought us the Zeppole di san Giuseppe for the birthday dessert, and it was delicious. Our server was really great, attentive but not overbearing. She explained all the dishes and did a nice job on a very busy Friday. The restaurant is lively and kind of loud, but not so much that you can’t hear others at your table. Wine list is good, some nice, creative cocktails. Overall, a great experience that I highly recommend, and I congratulate Joe Flamm and his team on another great restaurant.Más informaciónil CarciofoPrecio: caro• Italiana• West Loop•4,7

Great baked clams and the best fried calamari and shrimp with spectacular cocktail sauce. Margarita pizza was perfect. Strongly recommend the Zuppa do pesce. Sauce a bit of the thicker side than what I’m used to. But great flavor and generous amount of seafood. Excellent cannoli and gelato too. Our server was very attentive. Can’t wait to go back to try more entrees.Más informaciónLucia RosePrecio: caro• Italiana• Addison•4,7

The restaurant is really cute, the food is great, and the service was outstanding! The portions were huge, and the prices are reasonable. We definitely had plenty of leftovers! We needed to be out within a certain amount of time, and they took care of us beautifully! The section of the restaurant in which we sat was not too loud, but not so quiet that you felt strange. It was definitely louder in the bar area, so if that is a concern, sit in the restaurant section. I highly recommend Mangia Napoli!Más informaciónMangia NapoliPrecio: moderado• Italiana• Elmhurst•4,8
