Patsy’s Pizzeria first opened its New York City location at 2287 1st Avenue in 1933, having been the dream of immigrant newlyweds Pasquale ‘Patsy’ and Carmella Lancieri. A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich). Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Loved our visit. Great quaint little place with nice ambiance upstairs. Pizza was yummy. We tried a white, red and square pizza. Family salad was good too!

Second time at Song, first at this location. The food here is unbelievably good. Everything is expertly made and is some of the best I have had anywhere in the world. Initially tried it because it was on a World's 50 Best Pizzas list and it absolutely is amazing. Words do not do it justice. The pastas are just as good. The gnocchi and spaghetti bolognese, although simple dishes, were just as memorable. Great friendly staff who offer great recommendations.
