The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. Staff helpfully asked it we were going to Sadler's Well,s down the road, to make sure we finished our meal in good time. That was very handy. Good vegetaeian gnocchi, and delicious rich cauliflower soup (though we were not sure how well the golden raisins worked as an addition). We ordered cheese for afters (having loads of time before the ballet) and the serving was large and hearty with chutney and yummy crackers. Ideally, we'd have enjoyed a second non-blue cheese (it was mainly blue). But a good meal and really friendly, efficient staff.

What fantastic service. Food did not disappoint but the service was the real star of the evening - upstairs manager (they let us sit upstairs given how packed downstairs was) made the whole evening a treat.
