Refreshed and reopened in 2015 the pub offers traditional cask ales, craft beers and fine wines alongside traditional and quirky cocktails. We have a varied Gastro Pub menu available from 12pm - 9pm daily. Vegetarians, Vegans and Gluten Free catered for.Groups, families and couples welcome.     First visit in a long time. Stunning refurbishment, lovely buzzy Sunday atmosphere, warm welcome and lovely service throughout. Food was impeccable. There are Sunday Roasts and Sunday Roasts, this was outstanding. Perfectly cooked, very generous portions. Impossible to fault.

    Always good for Sunday lunch, an excellent Carvery with plenty of choices from small plates to regular, meats freshly carved choices of moist Pork, Turkey, Ham always thinly sliced and excellent plus Beef joints after that the vegetables are regularly changed with a selection of Stuffing, Brussels Sprouts, Peas, Mashed Swede, Roast Parsnips, Red Cabbage, Roast Potatoes Broccoli Cheese plus Gravy, Mustard, Horseradish, Apple Sauce etc Always busy and necessary to book so please b by up

    This is our local pub and we went for the steak special it was perfectly cooked and the Shiraz wine went down very easily. Joe the manager is top-notch with the service and there was a nice Saturday night buzz in the place we sat by the fire and roasted ourselves, it was lovely.
