I cannot recommend Shelanous Restaurant enough! I pre-booked two months in advance for my husband's birthday, and it was worth every bit of the wait. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was absolutely divine—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My husband was thrilled with the experience, and it truly made his birthday unforgettable. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an incredible meal, Shelanous is the place to go. Thank you to the entire team for making our night so memorable! Tasty food, some French and some molecular cuisine techniques and a great display of Australian produce, including finger limes, local Wagyu beef, kangaroo and green ants, as well as a lovely cheese display cabinet....amazing flowers goat cheeses that rival the French ones' would have been nice to include Holy Goat. Wasn't a fan of the Chinese caviar (Russian or Iranian are much better...but wars in both regions may limit the supply), but in the absence of good quality one, it would have been nice to find an alternative ingredient. The first dish was certainly one of the stars as well as the kangaroo. Definitely full after 13 dishes!.... Very nice to invite guests into the kitchen to participate and chat to one of the 15 chefs and see the magic from up close! Overall, a great experience to be repeated.

Overall lovely experience at French Saloon. The front of house staff were lovely and very accommodating on the night! The food was also wonderful with the tartare and kingfish being standout dishes. Thanks for a wonderful experience team!

Food was delicious! Rated in order: 1. Duck 2. Scallops 3. Quail (Special entree) 4. Mussels Crème Brûlée is the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Quick service, friendly staff. Not noisy, meals well prepared with generous servings. Quite good value for money. Limited drinks menu and wine options limited and relatively expensive. We will be back to try other dishes on the extensive menu
