Poppies in Hanbury Street was Pop’s first restaurant and the one where the journey began. The retro-diner and takeaway is close to Pop’s heart as it brought 70year old Pat out of retirement. It fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening an East End chippie and a desire to offer customers a taste of the old East End.

Antica Bologna ha sido un favorito en Northcote Road por más de veinte años -bastante tiempo para el negocio de restaurantes en Londres- y es todavía original y emocionante como el día en que abrió sus puertas, pues evoca imágenes de osterías perdidas en pequeños pueblos de la campiña silvestre en la región de la Emilia-Romaña o las ondulantes colinas de la Toscana, con su animada bienvenida propia de un antiguo favorito familiar. El chef Marzio Zacchi creció en la zona rural de Piamonte en el seno de una familia que criaba gallinas, cosechaba sus verduras y curaba su propio salami, por lo cual defiende con firmeza el uso de productos frescos locales. On Sundays, we are currently offering Sunday lunch from 1 o'clock, so breakfast will only be available until 12.30.We welcome walk-ins throughout the day and take bookings in the evenings and for Sunday lunch.
