Based in Greetham, The Wheatsheaf is 6 miles from Oakham and 4 miles from Rutland Water. Carol and Scott took over the Wheatsheaf in March 2008. The seasonal Modern British menu changes weekly. The wine list is based on wines from around the world with a good selection by the glass. We also have an excellent selection of beers and local cask ales.In 2021 The Wheatsheaf was a new entry in The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastro Pubs and was also awarded The Michelin Red Plate. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesday except Bank Holidays.

You can dine inside in cosy booths, long tables or even in a tranquil flower room seating up to 12, Why not book an igloo outside for up to 8 people and have your own intimate get together. We also have 5 outside heated huts that can seat up to 6 in each.

    Lovely restaurant, great food and very friendly service. Great place for a nice relaxing meal out Have recommended to friends and family and will be returning in the near future

    We ordered from the Christmas lunch menu. Two of us are vegetarian and one is vegan, unusually there were plenty options. For the nut roast you get to choose from the carvery veg and it's all clearly labelled. Veggie gravy, roasties, stuffing and loads of other options were available. Deserts were good too, trillionaires tart is vegan and looked delicious. Overall, one of the best veggie Christmas lunches we've had in the area for a while, £22.50 for 2 courses is good value. First time we've been here in years and will definitely return.
