I cannot recommend Shelanous Restaurant enough! I pre-booked two months in advance for my husband's birthday, and it was worth every bit of the wait. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. The food was absolutely divine—every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My husband was thrilled with the experience, and it truly made his birthday unforgettable. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an incredible meal, Shelanous is the place to go. Thank you to the entire team for making our night so memorable! Menu needs to be improved. We found more Indian and Sri Lankan Cuisine and this makes it hard for those who do not wish to have such food. An International Buffet needs more variety to cater for Aussies too. :)

Our Open Table reservation had not been noted by the restaurant - so our appearance was a surprise to them. To their credit we were seated rapidly and welcomed. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Tuesday evening. The food was superb! We shared our main courses of Duck & Pea Risotto (heavenly) and a Chicken Salad with Crispy Polenta that was delicious! Can highly recommend this suburban 'find'.
