We had a truly wonderful evening—the BUTTER CHICKEN are an absolute must-try! We got a little carried away with ordering and couldn’t finish everything, but every bite was worth it.

After loving City Spice during a business dinner, I had to return with my wife on our next visit to London. She loved it just as much! The food was even better the second time, and I highly recommend the tasting menu. Service was exceptional—this is our go-to restaurant whenever we’re in town.

A wonderful restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere and fantastic food! Portion sizes are more modest compared to some Indian restaurants, but the friendly service and relaxed dining experience make it worth it. No time pressure, which is lovely. I would definitely return!

The food was good. However found the service bit slow. They seem too busy talking to each other rather then serving. Had to ask for the bill twice even when i asked for it the second time the waiter carried on talking to the guy at the bar then came over in his own time. And there was a guy not sure who he was. Something to do with the restaurant who was walking in out coughing like he was almost dying thought the time I was there so not the greatest ambience. Disappointing experience given the reviews I've seen wouldn't bother coming back.

There is a good reason City Spice is so well regarded by customers and awarding bodies, and why people walk past dozens of other restaurants on Brick Lane to get there. The food is absolutely delicious; lots of choice, really good for vegetarians with dedicated vegan menu.
