    Hostess was very accommodating and communicated quickly. Service was excellent and the food was the best we’ve had this trip.

    Delicious restaurant. Food, service and cocktails are all exceptional. Can’t beat the location on the square in Oxford. An Oxford institution.

    We love City Grocery BUT last night’s visit was by far the best experience! The current chef has added items that were spot on - the pork belly was amazing and the ricotta on the baked ziti was delicious. The long standing menu item, shrimp and grits actually had flavor this time. Hats off to the chef

    The food was good but a bit pricey for the quality. I was hoping to order a filet, but they only offer ribeyes. I had the baked Ziti which was very well prepared but the first batch of bread that came out with it was burnt. I requested a fresh batch. Also, it was so noisy, I felt like I was having to scream for my husband to hear me. I could hardly hear our server. It’s one thing when it’s packed and people are talking but the music was also very loud. I was looking for a different vibe. Now I know. 😉

    We were a large group and the service and food was delicious! Highly recommend if you're in Oxford! Make reservations early!!
