Thierry y Patricia Moity son los antiguos dueños del Palou Bistro de Charlotte, NC y del Cafe de Bruxelles de Nueva York. El chef Thierry Moity, que ha trabajado desde los 13 años en algunos de los mejores restaurantes franceses de Europa y Nueva York, prepara deliciosa gastronomía tradicional francesa. This was not my first time at Caprice Bistro and similarly to previous visits, the food was excellent. The ambience is quaint. Our server this time was very harried and that took away from our experience. I had to ask for a beverage besides water, server didn't return to check on us after the expo delivered our food for quite sometime. We also had to request a dessert menu then we were left alone so long we opted to get to-go bon bons from next door instead. We understand that there are rush times and that people can get behind but there appeared to be ample coverage of servers for the number of tables which made our subpar service really stand out.

Food was okay. Two of us ordered steak frites, but the frites arrived only after reminded the server that they didn’t arrive with our steak. Soup was lukewarm. We have dined there before, and it just felt like the standards dropped a bit. The menu could also stand to be refreshed. Given all of the fantastic restaurant options in Wilmington, it wouldn’t hurt for them to kick their game up a bit.

The Caprice never disappoints. Food was delicious. The escargot, waterzooie and desserts were delicious. The service was terrific and my French 75 cocktail was a pleasure. The noise level showed the people were happy being at the Caprice!

Caprice had been one of my favorite restaurants for fifteen plus years. Unfortunately of late it has slipped a little on the food and cocktail front. My cocktail ( the Frenchi) which I’ve had there for years was unbalanced for the first time ever.. tasted like a totally different drink. My halibut was under seasoned , but still good. Service under the new owners was excellent, but overall our meal was a little underwhelming.

Felt very rushed. Was in and out in an hour. Asked for another drink was told it would be 15 mins. Server was not attentive and felt he just wanted out so they could fill the table. Been to caprice bistro many times and this was not a good experience
