Café Mercato, ubicado en Denver, es un nuevo y moderno restaurante italiano de propiedad y administración de Giancarlo Macchiarella de Locanda del Borgo. La atmósfera y el diseño fresco y amplio del Mercato impregnan todo el moderno espacio. Cuenta con una gran cocina abierta y una gran "biblioteca" de vinos que hacen que el comensal se sienta como en casa bebiendo un vaso de vino selecto mientras observa a los chefs preparar su comida. El menú del Café Mercato se basa en la comida del sur de Italia con un enfoque más ligero. Todas las pastas y embutidos se preparan en casa, así como los helados y los postres. Se puede disfrutar de pizzas caseras del horno traído de Italia y otras selecciones de la parrilla de leña. Best chicken marsala dish of any restaurant! Perfectly seasoned and cooked with a delicious sauce; also had excellent sides with it--broccolini and roasted potatoes. Pizza was excellent as well. 2nd time here and will definitely be back!

Everything is ok here. Salads are small, but good. The food seemed to be a bit salty today for some reason.

This place has been a longtime favorite but it’s been going downhill for the last 12-18 months. The food is less consistent, service less consistent, and it’s very expensive for what you get. The lasagna was mushy and the cheese on top was barely melted. The quality of their protein seems to have gone down too. Their “specials” are always on repeat, they were short staffed, and it’s drafty/cold inside. We’ve crossed it off the list.

The kitchen fans were not doing a good job clearing the smoke and odor in the main sitting area.

An OK experience, but the food left something to be desired. Pleased to find choices on the menu that were dairy free as one of us has issues with dairy. Charred Brussels sprout appetizer was interesting & tasty. The meat lasagna was disappointing ... seemed somewhat dried out without enough sauce to salvage it. Cioppino was satisfying but served without the customary bread to soak up the sauce. Bread is ordered separately which I missed in scanning the menu & server didn't advise. We dined early (2nd table of the evening) but the server failed to mention the specials of the day which we later noticed on the chalkboard over the open kitchen. Gelato had an odd texture I never experienced before but the flavor was interesting. Service was well-paced and we easily finished in time to make our 7:30 curtain. Might try again if we are in the area for a show.

I think the price of pasta is high. Also did not taste fresh ( I had the spaghetti with mozzarella and eggplant ) . The crispy brussel sprouts were not crispy! This is a one off as I have been here before and not had a problem with the food.

We love Cafe Mercado! The best service--especially if Emily is your server, great food, great cocktails and a great wine selection. It is the very best restaurant in Lowry. It is our favorite!

Lively restaurant on NY Eve. Service was very slow but wait help did the best they could under the circumstances.
