El Café Boulud es una brasserie francesa librada a la imaginación del chef Daniel Boulud y se encuentra en el Four Seasons Hotel de Yorkville, en Toronto. El restaurante sirve un menú de temporada con raíces en la tradición francesa, y destacan tanto los clásicos de bistro como los platillos contemporáneos inspirados en las comidas familiares del chef Daniel en Lyon. Se utiliza un asador de pollo reluciente para asar pollos à la broche, langostas enteras y piñas perfumadas con ron.                                                   Started off initially on a bad note as I called to check that new years day dinner would have Rotisserie special and confirmed there was, but when I arrived there was none. When we arrived they took our coats. We were expecting Rotisserie special since we called ahead to ask, but was told no. We ordered the duck for two, mushroom soup and sea scallops. The mushroom soup was okay, nothing special, will not order again. The scallops was fresh and appetizing. The duck to share was very good. Meat was tender and flavorful and the rice in duck ragu was tasty also. Had the apple vanilla dessert of the month to finish it off. The best part of it was the vanilla creme. When we paid and leave we got our coats and the receptionist had to walk into the dining area to retrieve it which was weird.

                                                  Family dinner, 7 of us and everything was perfect. The wine suggestion, the service, and every plate, appetizer, mains and dessert was presented well and tasted amazing. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful definitely will be going back.

                                                  NYE menu was below expectations. Pairing was ok, but nothing to write home about. Everyday menu is much much better. Live party music from the bar downstairs was way too loud, with a not particularly good singer screaming at the top of her lungs, but I guess that came with the territory, as it was NYE. As always, impeccable service. 2.5 out of 5.

                                                  We went on New Year’s Eve and had the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings. The food and wine was excellent, so was the service, although the food was a bit slow to come out. Also there was a band on the lower level d-bar which made conversation difficult but I don’t think it’s normally this loud.

                                                  Higher expectations. We often visit Café Boulud Toronto at the Four Seasons and have had great experiences both food and service. For this last visit, we were celebrating our daughter's birthday which the restaurant was advised of during the reservation. On all other occasions, they have brought out some type of birthday dessert. Quite disappointingly, no acknowledgment at all from any of the staff. Also, my wife has several dietary restrictions that were also noted on the reservation. The service team was not aware of this when taking the order and we had to repeat everything again - meaning they were not really prepared. In reality the restaurant was not that busy either so not sure what happened this time.

                                                  Has their terrific 3 course Christmas menu. Beef tartar, Turkey roulade with all the Xmas sides and a great Yule log for dessert. A fun evening and no Christmas dishes to wash.
