Blu Kouzina is bringing its signature, wholesome Greek cooking to the Sunshine State after gracing for the past five years Singapore’s culinary scene. The acclaimed restaurant, born out of the founders’ passion for the food of their native Greece and their love of sharing a hearty, family meal with friends, has set up a second home in Sarasota.

Fresh and quality ingredients, mostly grown organically, and sourced from well established, local producers are used in dishes that are both traditional and creatively contemporary. What remains uniquely Greek and genuine are the flavors and the scents of extra virgin olive oil, fresh fish or succulent lamb that will take you on a journey from a beach-side taverna to a rural mezze shop.

The Mediterranean cuisine is very authentic, and delicious. The severs are exceptional. The food quality is the best we have had in the Sarasota area. In fact, maybe the most authentic in all of America in the Mediterranean genre. We highly recommend this restaurant and strongly advise reservations. An absolute must in the Sarasota area. We shared the lightly fried artichoke hearts, Greek Salad, and whole Dover Sole. Insane delicious

Blu Kouzina never disappoints. For an amazing authentic greek meal - there is no place in town that compares. We had the grilled Calamari, Scallops, and Veal Chop Athena - The food was amazing. We went for Valentines and the kitchen did a great job with a full house. All the staff were great. We will continue to come here for our special night’s out.

Same experience as last time — very good food, efficient and friendly server, noisy even on the porch and difficulty with “front of the house” staff. Maybe carryout is the answer.

We had another awesome evening at Blu Kouzina. After being ushered to an ideal table at the edge of the outdoor porch, we ordered their outstanding taramosalata, and saganaki with figs for appetizers. Both exceeded our expectations as usual! My husband can never resist ordering the lamb giouvetsi…and once again it was the best he’s ever had…and we eat a lot of Greek food. I had the chicken kabob…so juicy and flavorful, that I’ll probably order it again next time! Our server Ivana was wonderful and recommended an excellent Greek red to complement our meal. We’ll be back soon!

Apparently you now can smoke cigars outdoors on the sidewalk tables. The wind was blowing the smoke into the dining room (outside n covered) tables. Asked the waitress if he was allowed and she said yes. New policy. He wasn’t even eating just ordered wine and smoked the cigar the whole time. Sad, this has always been our go to place. I don’t go to restaurants to have a smoker less than six feet away.

We love this place. So many wine by the glass choices. Our server made some outstanding recommendations for wine. I had the roasted chicken which is excellent My husband had the lamb special which was exceptional as I had a taste. My husband said it was so tender that it fell off the bone. Always excellent. We have been to their restaurant in Singapore several times. We think Sarasota is our favorite location. Certainly much closer!
