El Bentley's, ahora en su décima década, abrió por primera vez sus puertas en 1916, en el mismo antiguo y hermoso edificio victoriano que ocupa hoy en día y ahora se ha convertido en un restaurante emblemático de Londres. Al chef Richard le ofrecieron la posibilidad de restaurar la antigua gloria del Bentley's cuando se puso a la venta en 2005 y este aceptó el desafío. Una vez más, abrió sus puertas al gran reconocimiento crítico sirviendo ostras, pescados y mariscos al igual que desde 1916. Mesas con mantelería blanca, suelo de madera y una colección de arte de Richard que adorna las paredes crean un ambiente cálido y agradable. El Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill también cuenta con dos hermosos salones comedores privados. El Crustacea con una capacidad máxima de 14 personas y el Swallow Street Rooms con su propia barra, entrada de la calle privada y capacidad para 60 personas.

      Nada esta a la altura de su impresionante història ni de sus teòricas pretensiones , ni a las expectatives publicitadas. Salmon de los peores que he comido en Londres... (el que sirven en el desayuno del Hotel es espectacular si lo comparamos !!) El Lenguado teòricamente de Dover ( no me lo creo) es lamentable. El servicio poco profesional y no dejando el tiempo adecuado para degustar los platos ...notando la presion para cenar con tranquilidad. Despues de varias visitas en nuestros viajes a Londres no volveremos nunca mas !! Ha canviado la Direccion ó el propietario ?

      Visited for dinner with my partner. He’s not a fan of ‘fish and chips’ so thought he’d try it at Bentleys to see if that changed his mind. Unfortunately it didn’t. The fish looked overcooked (the batter was quite dark), he said it was dry and not very tasty, and the batter seemed too thick when I tried it. It did not seem to me that it had been freshly battered and fried. I had the fish pie which was fine but nothing more than that. Overall quite disappointed and don’t think we will be back.

      From start to finish the experience was 1st class. The head waiter knew everything there was to know about the restaurant and menu and made it and amazing experience. The amazing food and oysters were only topped by the service we experienced. Highly reccomend

      Staff were very friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was lovely and the decor was like going back in time. The food was excellent and full of flavour and portion sizes were good. We will be going back!

      My experience in this restaurant was very bad, our time for this booking was 9:45 pm and when we get there we was told we had to stay outside, we was waiting there for about 35 minutes before they can be able to finance a table and he didn’t give me table where I wanted to be , I was so upset that I’m waiting to get a table, and some people coming in and they’re going inside straight and they giving them table, I didn’t walk in. I booked a table and I pay £120 deposit. Table. I was so disappointed with the food it was horrible..
