Our favorite Canton restaurant The ribeye and the scallops were very good The shrimp cocktail were five smallish shrimp - used to be much better

We’ve been to Bender’s many times & always had a wonderful experience. My husband & I went for our Valentine’s dinner & had an unfortunate experience. We were sat in a back room that faced the parking lot. Because of the large wall of windows, every time a car went through the lot, we had headlights in our eyes. We were crammed against a wall & had servers & guests touching our table just to walk by. But the worst part was the food. We got the mussels for a starter & there was no flavor at all. It’s always been our favorite dish, but the broth tasted like water with a little lemon in it. My crab cakes were completely overcooked & burned on the outside. I could only eat one & I had to scrape out the filling because the outside was so dark. Both side dishes that we got were room temp & the au gratin vegetables had obviously been sitting in a window for a very long time. The cheese sauce was cold & congealed. My husbands mashed potatoes were dry & had no seasoning. Overall it was extremely disappointing. I mentioned the crab cake issue to the server & they did take that entree down to the appetizer price. But with the final bill still being well over $100, I expect much more from Benders. Our server blamed it on a lot of new cooks in the kitchen, which is not something I would have disclosed. Sadly, we won’t be back anytime soon.

If you want outstanding seafood this is the place to go!! Out Valentines dinner did not disappoint! Waiter was fantastic, friendly and attentive. Food was even better!! This restaurant is higher priced than others, but you truly get what you pay for!

It was a lovely dining experience in a classic restaurant rich in history. Entertaining in birthday celebration, everyone was in awe that seafood is delivered 3x per week from Boston and the history of the building.

Great dinner for a birthday celebration. Two of had seafood (halibut and scrod) and one had filet mignon and all dishes were superb.
