Barolo Grill has been our go-to restaurant for the past year. We typically love the food, service and ambiance. Last night, not so much. The food, all around, was less than average. The risotto was tasteless, the duck, which is their signature dish was very tender but also tasteless with soggy skin. Served with potatoes that were hard. The lamb chops were good but also not a great deal of flavor. The crudo appetizer had so much vinegar that I couldn’t eat it and was served so cold that it hurt my teeth to eat. Was there a different chef? Very disappointing as this was a celebration with our family which we had raved about. So the question is was this a one-time event because of the holidays or is this restaurant a hit or miss? For the price, hit or miss is unacceptable to us.

We'd asked for a quiet table and thought we had one, until the party of 6 next to us started drinking. The fabulous waitress Dani did everything she could to make things better and obviously some things are out of her control. Having said that, it would be great to have a quieter section of the restaurant with smaller tables and potential for less noise, especially in a restaurant as elegant (and pricey) as Barolo's.

Always a wonderful dining experience. Everyone from the owner to the hostess, general manager, waitress and expediters were welcoming, warm and professional. The food was fantastic!! They accommodated our dietary restrictions and created special drinks.
