b. Matthew’s Eatery is a one-of-a-kind bistro serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch in a renovated historic building in Savannah’s Historic Landmark District.

What started out as a casual deli and bakery has evolved into a full-service eatery with menus that feature a variety of traditional and southern-style dishes. We use fresh, seasonal, high-quality ingredients and source locally when possible. You won't want to miss our famous Fried Green Tomatoes or Shrimp & Grits when you visit Savannah!

We arrived a few minutes ahead of our reservation and were seated immediately. Our server greeted us warmly and provided excellent care throughout our meal. Two of us had the swordfish which was excellent, as was the pork chop my husband ordered. We stayed for dessert and coffee. We collectively agreed that dinner was delicious and our return would be certain. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious! It was fresh and well prepared. Lots of great flavours. I love that they focus on is local sourced ingredients. Servers were friendly and food came out promptly

Definitely a bummer to be the first table there with a reservation to be sat right by the door on an evening that's in the high 30's. Also the food was just ok. Nothing delicious or impressive.

We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious and plentiful! The service was fabulous! It really delivered delicious southern food and hospitality!

My husband and I were looking for a nice restaurant with good food that wasn’t overpriced and touristy while visiting Savannah and opted for trying B. Matthew’s Eatery. Best decision ever! The description on Google “Classic and new American fare in an updated vintage space with wood floors and exposed brick walls” was perfectly accurate and very pleasant and comfortable. The staff were all welcoming and the waiter was very attentive. Most importantly, the food was presented beautifully and tasted absolutely wonderful! We shared a Caesar Salad, B. Matt’s Famous Biscuits, Cheese Tortelloni appetizer and the Salmon entree. The tortelloni was amazing with a burnt tomato butter sauce that was so delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly and moist with an amazing sauce. We were too full to order dessert. I can’t think of anything about the entire experience that I would change. If we’re ever in Savannah again, we will definitely return to B. Matthew’s Eatery. Highly recommend!

Ate here for brunch at the end of a 4 day visit to Savannah. We found the food to be delicious and prices in line with other restaurants in the area. The ham and cheese omelet and Shrimp and grits were favorites. The best shrimp and grits on the trip! Each of the 3 of us had a shrimp and grit dish while in Savannah. Liked the ambience and a good location if headed to the riverfront area.

A must go to favorite when we visit Savannah. Everything was fantastic. The ambience beautiful and inviting, the food was delish with a huge shout out to the chef. The shrimp and grits gluten free are highly recommended. Service fantastic. Prices reasonable!
