Artu was founded on the most basic Italian technique, great ingredients, simply prepared, that is what Artu is all about.

In February of 1992 Artu opened its doors to the world, starting with outstanding sandwiches and mouth watering roasted meats, we continued to evolve and grow. Since then we have steadily added to our repertoire. From those sandwiches and roasted meats, we have produced old-world comfort food dishes to current interpretations of those classics that still make the most discerning eater reminisce of their childhood.

6 adults went to Artú before the Andrea Bocelli concert. The place was packed but we were able to hold conversations across the table. Noise level is not an issue here. Fortunate for us we had Connor as a server! Nothing short of exceptional! He is Friendly focused and as busy as it was, he was delightful and assisted us to pair our meals with great glasses of wine. I hope he wasn’t the only server for the house as the place was really packed. The food is Outstanding : Beef Short Rib Ravioli 🥰 everything was delicious and the 6 of us can’t wait to be back. As an aside the bathrooms were immaculate. I’m not sure how many they have on staff but they are doing a great job. See you soon Artú

This was not a typical North End dining experience. It was ok to wait 15 minutes for table, it’s a small restaurant and host can’t control the turnover. However, the waiter was horrendous. We sat down and explained we had comedy tickets so we wanted to order entrees quickly and would leave in an hour. 55 minutes later, our pasta entrees arrived. We repeatedly asked status and it was always just a few minutes. Ridiculous.

Classic Italian dishes such as Veal and Chicken Parm. meatballs, Caesar salad were all done perfect. Extensive wine list. Our server Connor provided excellent service.

Our waitress was excellent... very pleasant and welcoming. The gentleman serving the food was grouchy and practically threw the food at you. My dinner of chicken donato was excellent. My husband's meatballs were cold however. Perhaps a pet peeve but no soap in the bathroom is gross. Overall just ok... not as good as I remember it being.

We were in Boston for our grandson’s participation in the Foot Locker Northeast Regional XC Champions’ Race in Roxbury the next day. I chose Artu from a list of “top restaurants in Boston” on Google. We were not disappointed. Our waiter was a delight, warm, friendly, well informed; our food was delicious, one of the best Lemoncello Martinis ever; and the ambience was just what you’d hope to find in the North End. We will definitely make a point to return to Artu on our next visit.
