The Castlefield Rooms offer a boutique, out of the ordinary, venue in central Manchester, in a stunning position within a conservation area on the banks of the Bridgewater Canal. With a superb location in Manchester City Centre, near all major transport links, complimentary on site parking and the highest levels of service and cuisine, the Castlefield Rooms are the perfect venue to hold your wedding, corporate event or party. We offer a choice of three contrasting spaces for anything from 25 to 250 guests together with a range of competitively priced event packages. The versatility of the spaces is also reflected in the variety of menus available from the acclaimed kitchens of Albert’s Shed Restaurant and Dukes 92 which are located on the same site as The Castlefield Rooms. Whichever space you decide on you will have our dedicated Events Team on hand to ensure the smooth and efficient running of your event.

El local y el servicio son muy agradables y la comida excelente relación precio calidad. Pedimos el menú de 2 platos por 11.95£ y los compartimos entre las tres personas que fuimos. Los seis platos estaban riquísimos!!! Si lugar a duda, lo recomiendo.

First time visiting Alberts Shed, the place is lovely, staff very friendly and helpful, food and service was amazing, i'll definitely visit again.

Pleasant helpful staff. Impressive surroundings, food was amazing and good value for money. We had never dined there before and weren’t disappointed. Great location.

Dear Albert’s Shed Team, We made a reservation for a table of eight on Saturday, November 16th, at 6:30 PM. As regular visitors of Albert’s in Standish and Worsley, we chose to celebrate this special occasion at your Manchester location, expecting a memorable experience. Unfortunately, we found the menu to be limited compared to our previous visits, and the overall ambiance and service did not meet our expectations for what we anticipated to be a “flagship” experience. We experienced a lengthy wait for our main courses, which we understood was due to a kitchen delay. However, when the dishes finally arrived, two dishes were cold, and the chunky chips on another plate were also served cold. We returned the main courses and were assured that fresh chips would be provided. By the time they arrived, most of our party had already finished their meals (we’re not particularly fast eaters), and the pasta dishes appeared overcooked. I did express my concerns about the food and appreciated the removal of the service charge. However, my main issue is that the evening did not feel special or reflective of a flagship restaurant. The rest of the food was average, and the bar area was consistently cluttered with dirty glasses, which added to our disappointment. While we will continue to enjoy our visits to Albert’s in Worsley and Standish, we were let down by our experience at Albert’s Shed, which fell short of the high standards we have come to expect.

Overall it was terrible. Due to the size of my party I booked a booth weeks ahead of our booking and despite there being two unused booths on arrival we were given a long unsuitable table. Ahead of the booking I had shared two emails with Alberts Shed regarding the booth and still don't know how you obtain one? The bar was covered in dirty glasses. Once seated we were not offered drinks or table water and after 15 minutes had to ask. We had to ask for plates to go with the nibbles and starters we ordered (after they came) Six of the 7 starters ordered came together with one finally coming when we had all finished. The mains were poor, two of which were bordering on in-edible. The plates then sat on the table after we had finished for nearly 40 minutes. The sweets were at best average. Some of the staff smelt of cigarettes when they came to the table, very unpleasant in 2024. After numerous complaints by our party over the evening at the end the bill was reduced (which we didn't ask for it was offered by the management), but that wasn't the point, we just wanted and expected a good experience. Three of the guest had traveled for two hours to meet us. Myself and the guests have been to Alberts Shed many times over the years, my company have also held its Christmas events there over the last two years in the Brindley room and as such I was shocked and disappointing how bad it was on Saturday, not what you would expect from an established 'quality' restaurant . Poor food and poor service #avoid.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Alberts shed the food was amazing and well looked after by the lovely staff. We would highly recommend this place.
